Some time ago I downloaded a mesh from someone who created it in multiple format. The good news is it's a very nice mesh regardless of the format. The bad news is, despite offering the mesh in several formats, the creator has favoured his own [3ds]. I use Lightwave and so far I've had flip several upon several polygons, sort and rename surfaces... his surface names are like "WTF is this?!" It almost makes one want to give up on thew mesh... almost.

Let's see... in a nutshell, FInally got extra work, so not only am I meeting my financial quota but putting in a bit more [I'm expecting to have part of my debt paid off by January]

It's [almost] dead, Jim... Tuesday night my car wouldn't start. All the electrics work fine but the engine wouldn't crank. So far I've gotten a starter/solenoid and an ignition switch; hopefully that'll be it.

And wouldn't you know it, I've been informed of another job... good news since this one is full time. I wouldn't mind quitting the job I've had but I don't want to quit the above job, considering I haven't even been there a month. It shouldn't be Too hard to do both.

And if I take that route, I could get a better vehicle... wouldn't mind a Passat.

based on: Star Trek [created by Gene Roddenberry]

This will take place during the original series, primarily during the movie era.
The main character will be female, Japanese, and the story currently starts when she's a lieutenant [This may change to an earlier rank.]. Name: Kasui Seika "Doraihurawa" ["Dorai" for short]; she will be somehow related to Yamasaki Minoru, designer of the WTC.
Hesperus will be a space station of some sort, preferably somewhere near border space.
Somewhere along the way, there will be a lost ship and a lost soul.
The story will be begin at a music concert; the date is up in the air.
Another arc will involve a subject I know one person will not be comfortable reading.

A couple of hours ago, while watching War Stories, one those lame Fitness Made Simple commercials came on, this one people thanking either John Basedow or the workout program for giving them "the body of their dreams." The fact is they're thanking the wrong person/thing. All Johnny-boy did was make his idea public, and giving John Q Everybody another among the countless options. One guy actually says thanks to the program for giving him six-pack abs. These people [should this be an honest commercial] should be thanking themselves for having the fortitude to use the program and sticking to it.


On the other hand, after shooting, they probably just yelled out "Okay, where's my ten grand? My Hummer's thirsty."

Let's face it... I am Lousy at comments..... good comments; that is, I can't write a Meaningful comment. It's always sounding somewhat childish. "That's so cute," " I love/like it," etc.. Chances are it's my state of mind [which is also why I haven't done any art for a while]... Maybe a week-long vacation will help...
Despite this, I Have been working on a comic, albeit slow-going. It's something I've never done before and, once it gets going, hopefully it will get me out of this funk... along with said vacation. IF the comic comes to fruition, I'll post the pages here... as well as DrunkDuck. It'll take a while though. I'm doing it in Lightwave and it's still basically new to me.

I was in Best Buy yesterday, ended up mostly looking at DSLRs, most notably Nikon's D40 and D80. Unfortunately they're wanting $1300US for the D80 [because of the lens]. So far the lowest price I've found is $880 at B&H [new and without a lens]. I've got a lens in mind, but really I'm just wanting the bod right nowy.

It's sad... I ordered a teleconverter from B&H and the package came the Brooklyn Navy Yard.... I'm such a Navy buff.
